Runner’s World nominated for Sports Story of the Year
The annual nominations for the Scoop! – NSP Sports Story of the Year award have been announced. We are proud to share that Editor-in-Chief Liselot Bouman / Runner’s World has been nominated for her story “Stronger than Ever.”
In the powerful story “Stronger than Ever,” athlete Zoë Sedney opens up about her experience with transgressive behavior within her training group. The article sparked parliamentary questions, government criticism of the Dutch Athletics Federation, and even inspired a new legislative proposal aimed at creating a safer sports environment.
The other nominees include Sjoerd Mossou & Fabian van der Poll (AD) for their investigative piece “Zakkenvullers”, and Jack Martens (De Limburger) for his scoops in the world of Formula 1.
This prestigious award recognizes the best and most impactful sports story of the year. The jury consists of Yoeri van den Busken, Diana Kuip, and Frank Woestenburg. The winner will be announced during the NSP Annual Meeting on Monday, January 26.
In addition to the Scoop! – NSP Sports Story of the Year nominees, three young journalists have also been nominated for the Sports Journalism Talent of the Year 2025 award. The event will also showcase the ten best sports photos of the year and announce the best (sports) press officer.
